Description
Backup rings are used in connection with radially sealing O-rings or X-rings to prevent gap extrusion (the extrusion of the seals into the sealing gap).

Hardness
hardness is usually in Shore D, or IRHD.

Producing
It is produced according to ISO 3601, AS 568 A, BS 1806 and BS 4518 standards.

Fields of application

Resistant to mineral oils, fats and the pressure media HFA, HFB and HFC used in hydraulics. Not resistant to concentrated acids and lyes

Materials
NBR -  Good chemical resistance to mineral oils and greases, hydraulic oils H, HL, HLP, non-inflammable hydraulic pressure fluids HFA, HFB, HFC to approx. +50°C and water to max. +80°C
EPDM – Ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber a type of synthetic rubber, is an elastomer characterized by a wide range of applications. Fireproof hydraulic fluids, ketones, hot and cold water, and alkalis and exhibits unsatisfactory compatibility with most oils, gasoline, kerosene, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents, and concentrated acids.
H-PUR – H-Pur is highly resistant to ozone, weather impact and temperatures. This material is very recommended for usage in tropical regions. Swelling in mineral oils is low.
POM – This material has excellent physical and chemical properties to serve a wide range of applications. POM is very stable in wet and dry environments and is recommended for precision and
close tolerance parts.
PTFE – Nearly universal chemical resistance (aggressive acids, bases, alcohols and oils). Resistant to high and extremely low temperatures .
PU – Suitable especially for applications with dynamic load in hydraulic pneumatics, etc. with high mechanical load
